For the sixth consecutive year, the Altos de Chavón Cultural Center Foundation presents ”Art Chavón 2016”: a charitable event whose main objective is to raise financial resources for the scholarship fund of the Altos de Chavón School of Design, offering the public the opportunity to acquire the artistic work developed by students.
This event has been developed with the support and collaboration of a committee of villa owners belonging to the Casa de Campo resort.
Under the name of Art Chavón, students, alumni, past and present artists in residence and faculty members, all united under one goal, will present works of art in different techniques and formats. The activity will be held on the evening of July 20th, 2016 at the Santo Domingo campus.
Art Chavón 2016 is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a good cause. It is the perfect place to enjoy all the jobs that have been developed in this pioneering academic institution in the teaching of art and design in the Dominican Republic. Guests can celebrate artistic diversity surrounded by black and white drawings, engravings, paintings, mixed media works, sculptures, self-portraits and landscapes, enjoying a cocktail and live music throughout the night. During the meeting you can expect a full gallery of artwork with a sophisticated and unique touch. All these pieces represent an opportunity to invest in the future of Dominican art and design .
