Jenny Polanco´s new collection of jewellery was presented at the Maison de l’Amérique Latine, from April 3 to April 27, 2013, with a Dominican contemporary art exhibition. The event was coordinated by Mrs. Sonia Villanueva de Brouwer, Consul of the Principality of Monaco in our country and art critic Marianne de Tolentino.
The Maison de l’Amérique Latine (Latin American House of Monaco) is an art gallery created on the initiative of the consulates of the Latin American countries accredited to the Principality of Monaco. Its main objective is “strengthening links between the Principality of Monaco and Latin America”.
This association founded thirty years ago, celebrates arts and cultural activities, literary evenings, conferences, exhibitions, giving priority to initiatives and American talent. And gives particular importance to social and educational subjects.
“The Consulate of the Principality of Monaco in the Dominican Republic took an exhibition of contemporary art to Monaco, which was exhibited in the House of Latin America of Monaco for nearly a month,” Mrs. Villanueva said , who is also a Casa de Campo villa owner.
The Dominican amber pieces were exhibited in all their diversity of colors, from the traditional amber, as well as red, blue and green.
“It was an example of high quality and the audience enjoyed and commented very positively. The works of Jenny Polanco have exquisite harmony and beauty,” she said.
Mrs. Villanueva de Brower also announced that one beautiful piece from Jenny Polanco’s new collection will be auctioned at a banquet to be held by the Art Gallery on the occasion of its 30th anniversary.
Dominican designer Jenny Polanco has 3 stores in Casa de Campo – at the Marina Casa de Campo and 2 in Altos de Chavon.
