International Museum Day: Wednesday May 18th

Wednesday the 18th of May is International Museum Day and the Altos de Chavon museum ‘Arqueológico Regional’ will be hosting a special event ‘Día Internacional De Los Museos Museo y Memoria’ to celebrate.

The event will be from 9am through to 4.30pm at the Archeological museum (Museo Arqueológico Regional Altos de Chavon) in Altos de Chavon and will essentially be a program of activities for the local schools as well as the general public – which means you are all invited to come and take part in this cultural experience.

There will be traditional Dominican (folkloric) presentations, an artesans fair/market with traditional foods as well as special products from the ‘Yuma’ area of the Dominican Republic for sale.
