Last Saturday the 25th of June, as part of the ‘Copa Orange’ National Golf Championships, Orange Dominicana the event’s main sponsor held a cocktail in honor of the great golf course architect Pete Dye, the man behind Casa de Campo’s world famous golf courses; the Teeth of the Dog, the Links and the Dye Fore.  Held on the beautiful Dye Fore terrace overlooking the Dye Fore golf course and the Chavón river the cocktail shimmered in a suitably orange glow with the event’s golfers and glamourous VIP guests from Casa de Campo mingling and enjoying the ambience. With just one day of the National Golf Championships left to play the cocktail was abuzz with the players golf rankings and excitement over who would be crowned the winners the following day. Sadly, guest of honor Pete Dye was unable to be present, his son P.B Dye stood in and received a sculpture from the event’s organizers in honor of his father’s achievements. Also taking part in the ceremony was Eduardo Valcárcel and Vincent Bouyer, executives of Orange Dominicana as well as the president and vicepresident of Fedogolf, Juan Cohén and Rafael Canario and representing Casa de Campo was Claudio Silvestri, President and CEO of Premier Resorts and Hotels.
