Looking to update your Semana Santa wardrobe and support a meaningful cause? The annual Fundación MIR Sugar Bazaar returns April 3–6 at La Romana Country Club, combining fashion, philanthropy and community spirit in one vibrant event.

When and Where

The 2025 Sugar Bazaar schedule:

  • Thursday to Saturday, April 3–5 | 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Sunday, April 6 | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Location: La Romana Country Club

As in previous years, all proceeds support Fundación MIR’s educational and community programs, which continue its mission to serve families and students in La Romana.

The Highlight: Ladies Luncheon and Fashion Show

The signature event of the weekend takes place Saturday, April 5, at 1 p.m. — a stylish luncheon featuring seasonal fashion, good company, and fundraising for a good cause. If previous years are anything to go by, expect a stylish afternoon filled with conversation, seasonal collections, and curated looks from local designers.

Last year’s show spotlighted collections from El Faldellin and Versa Concept Store, modeled by community members and students from Fundación MIR. This year promises fresh designs from Bahia Ready to Wear and that same blend of creativity and community pride.

Beyond the Shopping

Sure, it’s fun to browse, sip, and shop, but every purchase made at the bazaar helps fund Fundación MIR’s schools and social initiatives. That means each necklace or linen blouse isn’t just an addition to your wardrobe — it’s a step toward brighter futures for local students.
