The Altos de Chavón Art Gallery opened its doors on July 18, 2025, to “Recuerdos, Colores y Formas”, an exciting solo exhibition by Barcelona-based artist Fabré Sallent. This vibrant display, inspired by the colors and spirit of the Caribbean, is open to the public until Aug. 18, 2025, offering a fresh perspective on coastal life through the lens of a masterful painter.

Guests were greeted by an ambient atmosphere, where the fusion of art, live music and light bites set the tone for a relaxed yet engaging evening. Fabré Sallent himself welcomed attendees at 6:30 p.m., guiding them through his work and sharing his unique perspective on the Caribbean’s vibrant colors and energy.

The evening officially kicked off with a formal inauguration at 6:45 p.m., complete with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, as visitors wandered through the gallery’s space, absorbing the captivating artwork.

Sallent’s Caribbean Inspiration

Known for his spontaneous brushstrokes and palette knife techniques, Sallent captures the daily beauty of the Caribbean — palm trees, coastal homes and rainbow skies. His artwork transforms ordinary scenes into radiant, lively compositions, filled with optimism and joy. Describing himself as a “philosopher of color and life,” Sallent’s pieces convey his belief that life is meant to be lived with brightness and enthusiasm.
