Elaine Ceballos Recio and Joan Iyamel Leonardo Mejía, exchanged vows on April 20th of 2013 in an emotional and beautifully religious ceremony in La Romana, followed by a magnificent reception held at majestic Casa de Campo villa, Barranca Este #9.
Before the wedding
The night before the wedding, the excited couple rehearsed their vows in the church, before joining their families for an intimate dinner, where both parents: Eléxida Maritza and Hector Ceballos and Maritza Mejia Nelsy and Juan Leonardo took the time to express their love and best wishes to Elaine and Joan.
The big day! Getting ready to say “I do”
In preparing for the biggest moment of her life, Elaine shared this special time with her closest female friends and family, who all got into the spirit of the celebration by creating comical posters with motivational messages, such as “Keep calm the wedding day is here” and “bride in production”.

Elaine wore a beautiful dress with silk flights designed by Maggie Sottero. Complementing her attire was a beautiful embroidered tulle veil with pearls and chantilly lace, her princess wedding look was completed with a Swarovski crystal tiara.
At the reception, held in Barranca Este #9, Casa de Campo, the guests were welcomed by a duet of saxophonists performing jazz, while they anxiously awaited the arrival and the bride and groom…

The delicious banquet was prepared by the Beach Club by Le Cirque restaurant of Minitas Beach, presented on beautifully decorated tables and served by the executive chef himself, with a little help from his team of course!
Following dinner, the party got going with the Leo Suberví orchestra and DJ Persio, who kept the celebrations raving until 4am!
Towards the end of the evening, the “Hora Loca” (crazy hour) arrived, which with a circus theme brought harlequins, fire-breathers and jugglers Ion to the dance floor!
Meanwhile, a series of lanterns were lit and floated off into the night sky – a symbol of the couple’s hopes and dreams for the future…
