The Copa FUNGLODE 2011 golf tournament will be played next week, on Casa de Campo’s Teeth of the Dog golf course on Saturday the 10th of December.
FUNGLODE stands for the Fundación Global Democracia y Desarrollo, which translates as the Global Foundation for Democracy and Development. The Copa FUNGLODE golf tournament is an annual event, which aims to raise funds to finance FUNGLODE’s research, activities, projects and publications to strengthen democracy and human development here in the Dominican Republic.
This year the event will be celebrated over 2 days, with a Dominican Golf Forum taking place on Friday December the 9th and the golf tournament itself being played on Casa de Campo’s Teeth of the Dog and La Romana Country Club golf course on Saturday the 10th of December.
Also taking place on Saturday the 10th of December is the Bazaar Navideño in Altos de Chavón, the Nutcracker Ballet performance and the lighting of the Christmas Tree.
