The news of a record production of refined sugar means continuing prosperity for the La Romana area as well as the entire Dominican Republic, as this ensures a continuous sugar supply which creates not only stable markets but also employment.
Central Romana also announced that its refined sugar manufacture has been awarded the ISO-9001 certification for Quality Control by the International Organization for Standardization., becoming the first mill in the Dominican Republic to achieve this important goal, ensuring compliance with international standards in developing refined sugar.
Central Romana is very pleased to have obtained this important certification, issued by the British firm Lloyd’s – which is the result of an ongoing effort to maintain a high index of quality in their manufacturing department.
