Casa de Campo Resort & Villas is proud to announce the third edition of the Women’s Polo Cup, an elite event that will take place on March 22 at 4 p.m. at the prestigious Casa de Campo Polo Club.

Organized by Carolina Rainer de Matos, this high-level tournament will bring together prominent international players, including some who participated last year, such as Malena Colombo, Keki Crespo, Vero Posse, and Guillermina Stern, alongside other local and international players.
The welcome cocktail will be held on March 20 at 6 p.m. at Minitas Beach. During the event, the two teams competing on the field will be formally introduced, along with the sponsor brands that support this event each year.
Polo With a Purpose
Since its inception, the primary purpose of this tournament has been to support the noble cause of Madres Maravillas, a program of the Patronato Benéfico Oriental.
The tournament will showcase sporting excellence and serve as an opportunity to contribute to the well-being of local communities. The Madres Maravillas program aims to empower single mothers from La Romana, particularly those in the tourism sector, who lost their jobs during the COVID-19 pandemic and need to generate income to support their families.

“The Third Cup reaffirms our commitment to the community and women as a source of inspiration and work,” said Rainer. “It’s much more than a tournament; it’s an act of support, a circle of strength, and a demonstration that when women move forward, the whole community grows with them. Life is a wheel: what you give returns multiplied. By supporting this tournament, we are also supporting mothers, daughters, and workers who sustain their families and dream of a better future.”

Rainer added that none of this would be possible without the unwavering support of the sponsors, including El Catador, Convento Las Claras, Banreservas, Amex, Mercedes Benz, Casa de Campo, Quezada, T-Pack, Baglietto Yacht, The Rainer Group, Fortune International, Artisan Altos de Chavón, Arajet, Fashion Warehouse, Higueral, La Mer, One Bike, Constructora Isidor, Faena Residences, Porsche, Ora by Casa Tua, Avila, Gamal, Costa Tropical and Oncoser.
“All of them believe in the power of unity and the magic of giving,” said the entrepreneur. “Together, we are building something bigger than a tournament: we are leaving a legacy.”
The Future of Women’s Polo
Women’s polo in the Dominican Republic is still in its early stages but has excellent potential for growth. This type of tournament also aims to inspire more Dominican women to get involved in the sport. By highlighting women’s polo and promoting its practice, it is hoped that more young people will be motivated to join this fascinating sport, thus contributing to the development and expansion of polo in the country.
