La Casita restaurant—an icon of the Marina at Casa de Campo—opened its doors to host the year’s first edition of Café de la Leche. Under the hospitality of hostess Julia Martínez, the Casa de Campo community gathered at one of the resort’s most breathtaking locations to support the Hogar del Niño.
It was a picture-perfect Caribbean afternoon. With the majestic yachts of the Marina as a backdrop and a cool sunset breeze, guests enjoyed a relaxed and elegant atmosphere on the wooden deck of La Casita. The inviting decor set the stage for guests to share laughs and toasts while enjoying an exquisite selection of hors d’oeuvres prepared especially for the occasion.

While the traditional goal of Café de la Leche is to supply the Crib Room (Sala Cuna) at Hogar del Niño—which prepares more than 800 bottles daily for over 200 babies—this January edition featured a special festive twist:
- Donations with Purpose: Instead of the usual can of milk, attendees contributed cash or the equivalent in toys.
- Immediate Impact: Thanks to this change in format, a wide variety of gifts were collected to bring joy to the youngest children, extending the magic of the Three Kings Day season.
Café de la Leche is much more than a fundraiser; it is a meeting point where friendship and philanthropy unite to ensure the well-being of childhood in La Romana. This event marks a hopeful start to the year for the Hogar del Niño.
