The Christmas season officially began on Dec. 2 as Altos de Chavón hosted its traditional Christmas lights ceremony, organized by Casa de Campo Resort & Villas. This cherished annual event united residents, homeowners, and guests in a joyous celebration of the holidays.

Gabriella Reginato, a beloved member of the Casa de Campo community, served as the master of ceremonies, sharing details about the exciting lineup of Christmas events planned across the property in the coming days.

The Entertainment Department and Management of Altos de Chavón and Casa de Campo have curated a festive program for all ages, featuring concerts, magic shows, Santa’s garden, sports events and workshops designed to bring holiday cheer to residents and visitors alike.

The evening began with a heartfelt nativity performance by the MIR Foundation, embodying the spirit of Christmas. Father José Nicolás Tejada of San Estanislao Church offered a blessing, adding a spiritual dimension to the celebration.

The event’s centerpiece was the grand illumination of the Christmas tree and decorations in the Main Square. Casa de Campo Resort President Andrés Pichardo Rosenberg, Costasur Dominicana Vice President and Administrator Juan Velázquez, and Altos de Chavón General Manager Luciana Goldfain led the ceremonial countdown, unveiling a dazzling display of lights transforming Altos de Chavón into an even more magical place.

Guests enjoyed a stirring performance by the Fiesta Clásica Youth Orchestra, a Santo Domingo-based foundation promoting music education. The orchestra’s festive melodies enhanced the evening’s charm, culminating in a breathtaking fireworks display that lit up the night sky.
