One of the most talked about and eagerly anticipated Christmas events of the season – the Hogar del Niño “Christmas Disco Party” is this Saturday December 22nd and so that you don’t miss out on any of the fun here we bring you a quick overview of the event!
First of all “Christmas Disco Party” – means a Christmas Party in a DISCOTHEQUE (in this case the Genesis disco in Altos de Chavón) and not a “Disco” themed party as has been speculated – although when we spoke to Xiomara Matos, President of the charity and one of the organisers of the event, and she did say that if anyone has their heart set on wearing an afro and flares they can if they want – everyone and all outfits are very welcome! This is a charity event after all!
So what is the dress code?
As far as we understand there isn’t really a strict dress code. However it is a Christmas party so those of you who would like to wear something festive you are more than welcome – we are certainly expecting to see a few Santa’s in the crowd – including me and Philip!
Logistics – entrance, drinks, fun…..
The entrance cover charge is RD$1,000 per person (profits for the Hogar del Niño charity) and once inside festive party guests will be able to buy drinks of their choice from the bar (organised by Casa de Campo – with precios populares) and from the Hogar del Niño’s own bar where they will be selling bottles – again with profits destined to the cause. FUN – there will be lots of fun and surprises….some really cool decorations, awesome photo opportunities, a few complimentary beverages and lots of dancing!

The first 25 people to arrive will get a shot glass necklace – and will get free shots all night long! Sounds dangerously fun…..
Private tables – UPDATED Tables are RD$3,000 per group of 6 and include a bottle of your choice (whiskey, vodka or tequila).
