On Saturday evening the 10th of November 2012, famous Dominican designer Jenny Polanco invited Casa de Campo villa owners to a cocktail before the Dueños 2012 dinner-dance at her Jenny Polanco Project Store in Altos de Chavón, where for one evening only they were showcasing the jewellery designs of special guest designer Marimerce Santiago.
Welcoming guests to the occasion was Jenny Polanco herself, as well as Marimerce Santiago, who was presenting her collection “MIMA”, a selection of high-end “fashion” jewellery – each piece boasting a unique and intricate design and created with semi-precious stones. Whilst shoppers selected, admired and purchased from the collection they were not only treating themselves to a new piece of jewellery – but at the same time supporting the Hogar del Niño, education and daycare center in La Romana, who benefited from a percentage of the evening’s takings.
Also showcasing her work was Jenny Polanco herself who has just released a new collection “Blanco” (white), a geometric line that enhances the silhouette of the woman using different textures and fabrics such as linen, cotton and lace.
Whilst the MIMA collection of jewellery is no longer available at the Jenny Polanco Project store in Altos de Chavón, the store brims with not only Jenny’s wonderful and refreshing resort-wear designs; shorts, dresses and blouses, but also unique purses, jewellery and other fashion accessories, as well as genuine Dominican and Haitian souvenirs.
The following collection of photos were taken during the cocktail on Saturday the 10th of November 2012 at the Jenny Polanco Project in Altos de Chavón:
