The Arturo Fuente Cigar Club Invitational returned to Casa de Campo for its fifth edition, once again pairing competitive golf with a clear social mission. The tournament took place at La Romana Country Club and welcomed 132 invited players who competed to support the education of 460 children through Fundación Humo de Amor in Monseñor Nouel province.

The invitational continues to stand out on the Dominican Republic’s golf calendar, drawing high-level amateur players from both local and international circles. Golfers competed in Categories A and B using a two-man scramble format, testing strategy and teamwork across one of the region’s most demanding courses.
Golf With a Social Purpose
Organizers designed the tournament to extend beyond sport.
“This activity allows us to provide opportunities for children and adolescents who need access to education, healthcare and nutrition,” said Arturo Fuente Cigar Club President and Tabacalera Fuente CEO Ciro Cascella P, in an official statement. He also thanked participating golfers for helping the tournament remain a meeting point for top players and golf enthusiasts alike.
Cascella and Carlito Fuente, chairman of the board of Tabacalera Fuente, opened the event and shared time with players and guests at the golf club before competition began.
Strong Performances on the Course

On the leaderboard, Manuel Luna and George Riley delivered the tournament’s top performance, earning the overall title with the lowest gross score of 60 strokes.

- Third place: Alfredo Najri and Gustavo Turull
Net winners in Category B included:

John Paul Garrido, commercial director for Latin America and the Caribbean at Arturo Fuente Cigars, led the tournament’s organization and technical direction.
More Than a Day on the Fairways
The experience extended well beyond the competition. Guests enjoyed exclusive cigars crafted for the event alongside a curated selection of food and cocktails from sponsors. The atmosphere balanced sport, connection and shared purpose, reinforcing the invitational’s identity as both a golf highlight and a social gathering.
This year’s edition received support from a wide range of partners, including Casa de Campo, Lexus, Grupo Rica, Brugal, the Ministry of Tourism, Banreservas Mastercard and other local and international brands committed to the cause.
Organizers confirmed the Arturo Fuente Cigar Club Invitational will continue as an annual event, preserving its invitational format and charitable focus.
At Casa de Campo, the tournament once again showed how a round of golf can generate impact far beyond the scorecard.
