Rhadamés Peña closed the RD Golf Elite season in commanding fashion. The golfer captured the IV stop of the tournament last weekend at The Links course at Casa de Campo Resort & Villas, sealing a year defined by consistency and control.
Peña claimed the title by three strokes after rounds of 69, 74 and 73 for a total of +3. Enrique Valverde Asmar finished second at +6 with rounds of 77, 72 and 70. Waldo Aguasvivas rounded out the top three at +10 following scores of 76, 76 and 71.
A Strong Finish at Casa de Campo
The top 10 also included Marco Polanco (+18), John Paul Garrido (+24), Juan Carlos Perelló (+25), George Morales (+26), Stefano Stefan (+27), Peter Garrido (+29) and Guillermo Fernández (+30), in a field that brought together many of the country’s leading amateur players.
With the win, Peña reaffirmed his hold on the season. He also won the second and third stops of the tour, while Juan Cayro Delgado took the opening event, making Peña the most dominant player of the circuit’s inaugural year.
Looking Ahead
According to the Dominican Golf Federation, which organizes the series, the tour was created to strengthen competitive development and help players earn points toward the World Amateur Golf Ranking. The circuit is open to golfers with a handicap index of 4.4 or better as of the first day of the month in which each tournament is played.
The RD Golf Elite Tour wrapped up its first season with four successful events and will return in 2026 with an expanded calendar aimed at raising the level of high-performance amateur golf in the Dominican Republic.
