The Abraham Lincoln School in La Romana carried on one of its most cherished traditions with a cocktail party held poolside at Minitas Beach, welcoming the newest members of its faculty.

A Warm Introduction
The gathering, hosted by the School Board and Headmaster Harry Magee, celebrated the arrival of seven new teachers from five different countries. “We are very excited at the prospect of working with such a diverse group of teachers who will contribute a lot to the already very high academic standards of our school,” Magee said during the evening.
The event gave new and returning faculty the chance to meet, mingle, and enjoy the relaxed Caribbean setting as they began the new academic year together.

More Than a Century of Learning
Founded in 1917, Abraham Lincoln School is located within the Central Romana complex and serves both the children of company employees and students from the wider community. The school follows a British curriculum, awards grades through the American GPA system, and prepares students for Dominican national exams, ensuring graduates can continue their education locally or abroad.
With more than 400 students, 40 teachers and a campus that includes air-conditioned classrooms, science laboratories, art and ceramics rooms, and extensive sports facilities, Abraham Lincoln School combines academic rigor with opportunities for personal growth.
As the 2024–25 academic year unfolds, the school community looks forward to the energy and experience its new teachers bring to the classroom.
