The Spa Casa de Campo has been named “Best Spa of the Year” at a leading 2025 Dominican tourism awards ceremony, held May 9 at Lopesan Costa Bávaro Beach Resort & Spa. Organized by THEMAG, the recognition highlights the spa’s growing presence as a top-tier wellness destination in the Caribbean and its leadership within the Dominican Republic’s hospitality sector.
The award was part of a broader celebration of excellence in local tourism, with honorees selected by industry professionals and executives across 17 categories. Winners were announced during a gala hosted by TV presenter Miralba Ruiz and closed with a live performance by the ballet Caribe Siempre Tuyo.

Local Recognition, Global Standard
While this honor comes from within the Dominican tourism industry, The Spa at Casa de Campo has already made its mark globally. In both 2024 and 2025, it received a prestigious Four-Star rating from Forbes Travel Guide, which this year called it “a high-tech Caribbean spa escape.” It remains the only spa in the Dominican Republic to hold this distinction.
Also in 2024, ELLE magazine named it a must-visit destination for global spa travelers, and Caribbean Journal recognized it as the Best New Spa in the Caribbean during the 2023 Caribbean Travel Awards.
Casa de Campo Resort & Villas itself also holds a Forbes Four-Star Recommended Hotel designation, making it one of the most awarded hospitality destinations in the region.

An Experience That Goes Beyond Luxury
“In everything we do, we want to go beyond luxury,” said Spa Director Irene Campaña. “This award reflects the dedication and passion of our entire team. Our goal is to offer a space of healing, reconnection, and renewal for every guest who walks through our doors.”
Spanning over 2,000 square meters of indoor and outdoor space, the spa offers a curated menu of high-end wellness services including Hydrafacials, contactless sound therapy, and detoxifying MLX iDome treatments. Guests can unwind in 12 private treatment rooms, each with its own outdoor garden and rain shower.
The hydrothermal area features a vitality pool, sauna, steam room, Kneipp Walk, cold plunge, and thermal loungers — designed to create a full-body wellness journey from start to finish.

Built for the Body, Mind and Community
Opened in May 2023, The Spa at Casa de Campo was designed with intention: a blend of advanced wellness technology and Dominican soul. The result is a space that feels personal and purposeful, where every detail, from the aromatherapy oils to the architectural flow, contributes to a restorative experience.
“This recognition keeps us inspired,” Campaña added. “We’ll continue raising the bar not just for ourselves, but for wellness in the Caribbean.”
