Anthony García emerged victorious in the 44th edition of the Casa de Campo International Tennis Tournament, held from June 27 to 30, 2024, at the Casa de Campo Racquet Center. García claimed the title in the Open category by defeating runner-up Gabriel Matos in the final.

The tournament, which kicked off on Thursday, officially opened on Friday, June 28, with players and Casa de Campo officials in attendance. More than 230 tennis players from various countries participated, showcasing international talent.

Singles matches took place on Friday and Saturday, followed by the commencement of doubles matches. The finals for both categories were held on Sunday, June 30, concluding with a prize-giving and closing ceremony led by Matías Territoriale, the Racquet Center’s director.

Roberto Martínez and Rosmery Santos secured the championship in the mixed doubles C category, while José Garmendia and Jasminka de La Iglesia won in the mixed doubles B category. Rafael Parra and Claudia Rodríguez were also victorious.

The novice category saw Laura Alcántara and Claudia Victoria dominate, alongside Jasminka de La Iglesia and Claudette Diaz. Andrés Reinoso and Joabel Rosado emerged as champions in the novice doubles category. Rafael Lantigua and Milton Pérez triumphed in the senior over 60 men’s category. In the men’s C3 category, Alejandro Abreu and Gustavo Cáffaro were victorious, while Massimo Gena Tiempo and Julio Troncoso won the C2 category. Rafael Parra and Juan Suarez triumphed in the C1 category, with Jasel Beltré and Janio Villanueva winning the open category.

In the novice singles category, Laura González emerged as the winner, while Laura Alcántara claimed the C3 title. Jasminka de La Iglesia was victorious in the C2 category.

In the novice (UTR 1-3) category, Félix Ruiz claimed top honors, with Juan Stanly dominating the Senior 60+ category. José Rodríguez won the C3 45+ (UTR 4-6) category, Saul Jiménez took the C3 19-4 (UTR 4-6) category, and Manolo Pérez secured the C2 45+ (UTR 6-8) title. Edward Hidalgo dominated the category of C2 19-44 (UTR 6-8).

The 44th Casa de Campo Cup was a memorable event, reinforcing Casa de Campo’s reputation as a premier destination for national and international sports events.

A cocktail and dance party brought together tennis players worldwide on Saturday night to celebrate another successful edition.
