Over 100 golf enthusiasts gathered at the La Romana Country Club golf course in Casa de Campo on Saturday, March 9, for the Fundación MIR Magical Splendor Golf Tournament 2024. This annual event, attended by members of the golfing community, serves a noble purpose: supporting the education of over 2,000 children enrolled in MIR schools.

The day commenced with warm greetings from the Fundación MIR staff, setting a tone of camaraderie and goodwill. Players wasted no time refining their skills during pre-tournament practice sessions, seizing the opportunity to perfect their swings and putts. Throughout the day, participants enjoyed various amenities and delights courtesy of event sponsors.

Embracing the spirit of teamwork, the tournament adopted a “scramble” format, wherein teams collaborated to achieve the lowest combined score on each hole. This cooperative approach fosters community and camaraderie, aligning perfectly with the event’s fundraising ethos.

Competitive fervor still permeated the atmosphere while the focus remained on enjoyment and philanthropy. The golf tournament awards ceremony, held as part of the evening’s Magical Splendor Gala, bestowed recognition upon the top performers with trophies and prizes, adding a touch of prestige to the festivities.
