On January 12, the WAO Gallery and Cultural Center debuted “El Ruido del Tiempo,” a new exhibition by Dominican artist Kikito Rodríguez.
The event brought together friends, family, and fellow artists to support Kikito, marking his first exhibition since returning to the Dominican Republic after years in New York. Margarita González Auffant, the curator of WAO Gallery and Cultural Center, welcomed attendees, while Sanil García managed the exhibition’s museography and installation. Casa de Campo Resort & Villas provided an exceptional toast for the occasion.

Rodríguez draws inspiration from the ever-changing forms of clouds influenced by wind, light, darkness, and movement. His canvas reflects emotions, cosmos, movement, knowledge, mysticism, and time. Using intuitively abstract language, he expresses himself with freedom and emotion.
The exhibition features twenty-two pieces, including eighteen paintings and four sculptures, inviting spectators to explore a realm where suns, moons, earth, water, and various phenomena converge to give life to abstract creations.
Open to the public from January 12 to February 12, 2024, the exhibition welcomes visitors Wednesday to Saturday, 9:00 am to 9:00 pm, and on Sundays and Tuesdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, remaining closed on Mondays.
The Patronato Benéfico Oriental, Inc. (PBO) reaffirms its commitment to sustainable social impact initiatives by integrating programs with WAO Chavón initiatives, including the WAO Innovation HUB, WAO Galería & Centro Cultural, and the Museo Arqueológico Regional Altos de Chavón.
Revenues from various projects and activities support social programs, enabling the replication of initiatives in vulnerable communities under PBO’s community empowerment programs. These efforts align with the organization’s mission, promoting respect, solidarity, integrity, and equal opportunities.
