The Elizabeth P. de Zeller Ballet Academy is set to captivate audiences with its annual ballet presentation on December 9 at the Altos de Chavón amphitheater. This year’s performance, The Twisted Nutcracker, promises an immersive experience, blending time-honored tradition with a dash of creative flair.

The esteemed founder, Elizabeth P. de Zeller (affectionately known as Tia Eli), initiated and upheld this beloved tradition for over five decades. Now, under the direction of Ivonne Zeller, Tia Eli’s daughter, the presentation stands as a testament to the commitment and passion of the academy’s ballet students.

Tickets, priced at RD$400.00 per person, can be purchased in advance through students or obtained at the Casa de Campo main north entrance (formerly known as K5) on the day of the ballet. Proceeds from the event continue the tradition of supporting the “Hogar de Ancianos Padre Abreu” (Home for the Elderly), reflecting the academy’s community-focused values.

Rehearsals are underway, with students diligently practicing around the amphitheater to ensure a flawless presentation on Saturday. Every student participates in this annual showcase, from the adorable toddlers to the most seasoned dancers.

This not-to-be-missed presentation promises a spectacular evening and an opportunity to contribute to a noble cause, while embracing one of Altos de Chavón’s treasured Christmas traditions!
