For three captivating days, Casa de Campo became a vibrant hub, showcasing a remarkable display of Spanish culture through the ALMA by The Sphere event.
This initiative stems from the vision of two Spanish entrepreneurs, Cuchy Pérez and Susana Deleito, who chose the Dominican Republic as the canvas for bridging these two cultures. “We are delighted that the inaugural edition of ALMA by The Sphere took place in this country, akin to our own. We bring forth this project, infusing Dominican landscapes with glimpses of Spain never before seen here.”

The opening night at Casa de Campo hosted a gala dinner featuring six Michelin-starred Spanish chefs—Ramón Freixá, Toño Pérez, Josean Alija, Pepe Solla, Begoña Rodrigo, and Jesús Sánchez—collaborating for the first time in the country. Subsequently, ALMA by The Sphere ventured to Altos de Chavón for a distinctive dinner-concert experience. Palcos, or elevated seating, spanned a significant portion of the amphitheater, serving Spanish gastronomy curated by the chefs of Hermanos Vinagre. This culinary extravaganza preceded the enthralling performance by the Spanish Flamenco Ballet, showcasing a unique spectacle. The Dominican culture took its spotlight with Manny Cruz’s performance, followed by the festive finale by Juan Magán.

The event’s third day unfolded at Casa de Campo’s polo field, transforming into a representation of Seville’s Fair. This spectacle encompassed all the traditional elements synonymous with this globally recognized festival—flamenco attire, casetas (tents), flamenco group performances, and authentic cuisine. The musical stage witnessed stellar acts by Juan Peña, Los Alpresa, and Los Bomberay.
ALMA by The Sphere offered an extraordinary three-day immersion, seamlessly weaving culinary excellence, enchanting music, elegant fashion, and rich folklore — an exquisite tapestry that transported attendees to the vibrant essence of Spain.
