If there is one thing we love to do here at Casa de Campo Living – it’s support one of our own! And when one of our own, just happens to be the star of a Dominican movie, we can’t help but beam with pride!
Born and raised in Casa de Campo, David Maler, son of beloved Casa de Campo artist Leopoldo Maler, and husband of Dominican actress and rising star, Nashla Bogaert, David Maler is about to make his acting debut in the Dominican film industry – with a leading role in Código Paz, premiering across the Dominican Republic on September 18th!
And as if that wasn’t exciting enough, the movie’s second trailer has just been released, enjoy it here:
Código Paz is a Dominican Movie, which narrates the story of a man named Pedro (David Maler), an impatient thief from a humble extraction, born in Villa Consuelo, lives a double life; during the day he sells properties for a Real Estate Firm and during the night, he steals alongside his neighborhood friend, Wellington.
Pedro wants to take on the world here and now, become a rich person before the age of thirty, at any cost, not considering the consequences that follow his decisions, until he steals from the wrong house.

Código Paz, is directed by young Dominican director Pedro Urrutia, his first movie production. In the past, Pedro Urrutia has produced a number of music videos for Dominican musicians such as Melymel, Joe Veras, Rafely Rosario and Metropolitan. The movie is being distributed by Caribbean Films and produced by Larimar Films and One Alliance.

Código Paz premiers across the Dominican Republic on September 18th, let’s hope it makes it to the Marina Casa de Campo cinema!
