It’s time to get your bike outs, and ride out for a good cause! Next Saturday the 15th of February is the annual Hogar del Niño fundraising weekend and for the 3rd time you’re all invited to take part in the wheely fun MTB bike marathon!
With the growing popularity of cycling in Casa de Campo, there can be no doubt that this bike marathon will yet again be one of the most popular events in the Hogar del Niño line-up of activities – and why not when its something that can be enjoyed by the entire family. No matter what your age, if you want to take part you’re more than welcome!
This year, Casa de Campo villa owner, Carmen Santoni, one of the volunteers who helps to organise the bike marathon for the Hogar del Niño, told Casa de Campo Living that this year they had decided to take a more “relaxed” approach to the routes – so that everyone can come along and have a good time without the pressure of winning!
Participants will be directed along 2 routes, the “Infantil” route for children, which is approximately 6-7km long, and the adult route, a more challenging 20km in length. Both routes start and finish at the La Romana Country Club and are within the Casa de Campo resort.
“The idea is to have a good time among friends”, Carmen Santoni told Casa de Campo Living. So what are you waiting for – sign up now!
The MTB Bike marathon is part of the Hogar del Niño fundraising event will which be celebrated on the 14th and 15th of February, other fun family activities include a golf and tennis tournament, the polo tournament, the homes and gardens tour, and the Zumbathon. Click here for more event details.
