#beshady

This Thursday the 10th of October is World Sight Day and Patronato Benéfico Oriental (PBO), the umbrella organization for the Hogar del Niño invites you to celebrate at La Cantina and #BeShady.

As the TOMS GIVING PARTNER in the Dominican Republic, the Patronato Benéfico Oriental (PBO), which runs a children’s daycare and education center for more than 1500 in La Romana is the beneficiary of TOMS “one for one” movement; for every pair of TOMS shoes purchased TOMS donates a pair of shoes to someone in need, and for every pair of TOMS sunglasses, TOMS will “save” the sight of one person (with prescription glasses, surgery or medical treatment.)

The Patronato Benéfico Oriental is responsible for distributing the donations made by TOMS in the Dominican Republic, something which last year allowed them to not only give the children of the Hogar del Niño a new pair of shoes each, but also to hundreds of other children living in poverty in the greater La Romana area.

TOMS World Sight Day? #beshady?

The Hogar del Niño invites your to get involved, by joing them at La Cantina for a #beshady night – just don’t forget your sunglasses!
