Both actors and both shining in their countries of residence, this love story seems fit for Hollywood. David Maler, a young actor and director raised in Casa de Campo and Nashla Bogaert, the actress starring in newly released Dominican film ¿Quien Manda?, seem to have found in each other a soulmate and cannot wait to be tied to each other forever.
They both seem to be very excited and crazy about each other, demonstrated in the way they talk about each other. When asked about the wedding David said, “Yes, I’m marrying Nashla, August 23rd! We’ll have a bigger wedding back home in December. This will be something small and intimate” He also posted on his Facebook not long ago, “I’m marrying the woman of my dreams, we’ve set the date. Two weeks away from being the happiest man on earth. Thank you Nashla Bogaert.”
A couple just perfect for one another, each one with the ability to push and help the other grow in their careers. Nashla works on television here, and had her movie’s ¿Quién Manda? premiere recently, while David also had a premiere this week with a play in which he stars and directs, American Dreams and an Elephant in Argentina.
David, who moved to Argentina a while after graduating from the Abraham Lincoln School in La Romana, has worked on both movies and plays in Buenos Aires, while also studying there. (More details on that soon.)
The proposal took place via Skype – for that is the blessing of technology nowadays. They both toasted and celebrated with champagne and wine and I’m sure cannot wait to see each other and profess their love with an “I do”.
