Claro Golf Tour Teeth of the Dog

On Saturday the 27th of July, Claro held the 3rd stage of their 2013 Claro Golf Tour in Casa de Campo, with the Teeth of the Dog as their course of choice. Roberto Salcedo Teeth of the DogCompetition was tough, but Santo Domingo mayor Roberto Salcedo and his brother Carlos managed to claim first place by shooting 5 under par and a total of 67 hits and thus continuing a winning streak which had begun in the previous “Exatec” event. Francisco Suárez playing with Viriato López and Fernando Rodríguez partnered with Pedro Peña Ramos tied for second place, having both finished 4 under par, while Ignacio Pérez and Wen Ta Li took third place with 3 under par. Before Omar Acosta and Walter Schall, Directors of Marketing, Advertising and Corporative Client Sales in Claro, delivered the prizes and selected the raffle winners, along with master of ceremony Felix Olivo and the event co-ordinator Rafael Octavio Castillos, who is also the president of the Santiago Golf Club and spokesman for FEDOGOLF, a video was presented by Claro’s Director of Corporate Communications, Mrs. Gerty Valerio, showing the fruit of the golfers’ collaboration to the community. The video showed how Claro had used the resources donated by the golfers as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility program and had improved public schools for children most in need. Present at this moment was Thais Herrera de Aristy, representing Fundacion Futuro Posible, who are also partthe program.

The event was well-attended by many well-known Santo Domingo VIPs such as Edwin Dominici, Oscar Peña, Manuel Estrella, José Del Castillo, José Luis Alonzo, Emilio Hasbun, Carlos Santelises, Oscar Peña Defilló, Ventura Serra, Osvaldo Santana, Lenin Herrera, Héctor Acosta, Federico Félix, Neit Nivar, Luis Arturo Carbuccia, Teodoro Reyes and Roberto Pellicione, amongst others.
