On Tuesday the 30th of July His Excellency Dr. Brahim Houssein Moussa and his wife Mrs. Sabiha Allam de Moussa hosted a superb reception at their Santo Domingo residence in honor of His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco on the 14th anniversary of his accession to the throne.

The elegant hosts, Dr. Brahim Houssein Moussa, Ambassador of Morocco in the Dominican Republic and his wife Sabiha, hosted the occasion in keeping with Moroccan customs and traditions, wearing typical Moroccan robes, and adhering to the rules of Rahmadan which forbids the consumption of alcohol.

And so with a brindis of delicious non-alcoholic sangria and a magnificent buffet of the finest Moroccan cuisine, a variety of special guests, dignitaries and VIP’s from Morocco, other members of the diplomatic service, as well as many well known personalities of Santo Domingo and Casa de Campo society, shared a wonderful evening celebrating this special occasion.

Having very recently – on Saturday the 27th of July – inaugurated a new children’s park, the Parque Infantil “Marruecos” in La Romana, a donation made by His Majesty Mohammed VI himself, this celebration only served to further fortify Morroco’s already strong relationship with the Dominican Republic.
