The modeling agency Polos Opuesto held its second graduation with 24 new models in the province of La Romana, in an activity that took place in the main salon of the Casa Puerto Rico Club in La Romana.
During the activity outstanding students were awarded crowns, among them was Crismar Marcelino in the mini category and in the youngest category Astrid Perez. Also, a fashion show called “Barbie”, produced by local La Romana journalist Hilda Peguero, took place — much to the delight of the audience.
All the girls performing in the Barbie fashion show made their grand entrance onto the stage through doll boxes and paraded down the catwalk dresses as Barbies – showcasing the modelling skills learnt during their course, taught by their teachers Nelson Reynoso and Francia Méndez.
The graduation was attended by Sally Aponte, current Miss World Dominican; Rosa Javier, Miss Petite Teen; Alba Marie Blair, Miss Beatiful Face; model Alba Yris Rodriguez and 3 beauty queens from Jarabacoa and as well as the Queen of flowers, the Ambassador for the Environment and the Cultural Ambassador, and many important local personalities.

On Saturday June 2nd 2012, the “Polos Opuestos” Modelling Academy celebrated the first “Walkaway Queens” graduation ceremony in the Casa de Puerto Rico Club in La Romana, where 4 gorgeous young girls were recognized for their efforts and achievements!
