Today Sunday the 12th of May is Mother’s Day in the United States and although we here in the Dominican Republic don’t celebrate Mother’s Day for another couple of weeks (Sunday May 26th) as the children of the Fundación MIR benefit from donations from many kind mothers in the US they would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone (American or not) a very HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!
In fact mother’s are so wonderful – HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all you mothers out there! We wish you a wonderful day!

And join us for a wonderful celebration for an even more wonderful cause – the “Family Weekend for Life” for the Fundación MIR! This great celebration for all the family will this year take place on Saturday the 10th of August 2013 – and we hope to see you there!
The Fundación MIR is a non-profit organization which works to provide education to the children of the greater La Romana area, who are most in need. They run 3 schools; the MIR Esperanza (boys vocational school), the Escuela Tecnica Vocacional Fundación MIR (girls vocational school) and the Primaria MIR (infants school).
