Tomorrow, Tuesday February the 19th 2013, Casa de Campo villa owners Mario & Nicoletta Galletto are hosting a private, by-invitation-only opera concert to raise funds for the Hogar del Niño’s Sport and Cultural Pavilion.
This elegant event is the sequel to an event previously hosted by the Gallettos – a cocktail party and auction that centered around a magical performance by fellow Casa de Campo villa owner and talented international pianist, Mia Pia de Carlo, which took place in November of 2011.
This year’s event will feature the performance of three Dominican musicians; Soprano Atonia Chabebe, Tenor Juan Cuevas, and pianist Elioenai Medina. They will be performing arie from Puccini, Verdi, Rossini and Mozart.
The event to be hosted at the Galletto’s Casa de Campo villa will last from 7 – 9pm and include a presentation from Xiomarita Matos, president of the Hogar del Niño, the evening will then continue with the 45 minute concert.
During the event several items will be on sale – including artwork created by the talented youngsters of the Hogar del Niño in La Romana, golf lesson from Casa de Campo’s Golf Pro and restaurant vouchers.
About the Sport and Cultural Project for the Hogar del Niño
Sports and culture activities promote basic values, such as: discipline, respect, objetive achievements, solidarity, integrity. The Sport and Cultural Project of the Hogar del Niño is a fantastic initiative, which through the construction of a sports stadium which will double as a cultural events auditorium, will provide the students of the Hogar del Niño and the community of La Romana with a safe place to enjoy sports and cultural pursuits (such as theatrical events).
