cafe de la leche cruise

The Hogar del Niño has just announced it’s latest innovative fundraising scheme – the “Café de la Leche Cruise” – a cruise aboard the Costa Luminosa cruise ship, which will take Casa de Campo’s ladies and gentleman on a voyage around the Caribbean! Now that’s a way to raise money!

The “Café de la Leche Cruise” is open to everyone – so if you’ve ever dreamed of exploring our neighbouring Caribbean islands, here’s your chance to do so and contribute to the Hogar del Niño! The cruise will depart from the Casa de Campo – La Romana tourist port on Monday the 15th of April to Isla Catalina, Tortola Road Harbour in the British Virgin Isles, Antigua in St. Johns-Antigua, Martinique, Guadelope and St. Marteen Philipsburg before returning to La Romana and return on Monday the 22nd of April.

The “Café de la Leche” is normally a monthly gathering held from 5pm to 7pm at a Casa de Campo villa or resident, where Casa de Campo ladies meet for a few drinks and a bite to eat and contributions of dried milk and cereals are donated to the Hogar del Niño’s crib room, where the charity cares for more than 200 babies everyday. [Click here to read about the Café de la Leche tradition.] The Café de la Leche cruise, will no doubt attract these same ladies – for an entire week of fun, rather than just an afternoon! Of course men are also welcome – the more the merrier when it comes to fundraising and having a good time!

Ahoy mateys! It’s time to start planning the perfect nautical vacation wardrobe!
