This Sunday the 3rd of February is Superbowl Sunday – so if you are here in Casa de Campo and are looking to watch the game, you have a couple of options: stay at home and rig up your own big screen with your friends – or let someone else do the hard work and enjoy the show at the La Caña Restaurant and Lounge by Il Circo, the Lago Grill or the La Romana Country Club.
At La Caña Restaurant and Lounge by Il Circo in the Central Casa de Campo hotel area the Superbowl will be shown on their big screens – where you can sit back, relax and enjoy with a beer or 2 or perhaps one of Casa de Campo’s speciality cocktails. And if you get hungry you can enjoy the fine La Caña menu – or the special “Superbowl menu” with the “First Down Burger” (US$11), “Half Time Hot Dog” (US$5), “Touch Down Quesadillas” (US$13), “Yellow Flag Chicken” (US$12) and “New Orleans Ice Cream” (US$8). This special “Superbowl menu” will also be available at the Lago Grill, which with it’s more casual atmosphere would be the perfect option for family groups.
Meanwhile members of the La Romana Country Club (and their guests) can enjoy a night watching the game with their own version of a Superbowl menu – also with burgers, hot dogs and nachos!
The XLVII Superbowl will be played at 6:30pm at the Mercedes-Benz Superdrome Stadium in New Orleans with the Baltimore Ravens taking on the San Francisco 49ers and will feature a performance by Beyonce at halftime.
