And the parties continue! Having already welcomed the New Year in spectacular Casa de Campo style you would be forgiven in thinking that the season is now over – but you would be wrong! This weekend the celebrations continue with not only the Café de la Leche and Sunset Jazz Night on Friday evening, but also fundraising event “Waters Connecting Lives” on Saturday evening.

So to help make sure you are fully prepared for this weekends activities, here is a quick overview of everything you can expect – and the best news is that they are timed perfectly so that you can attend them all! See you there!

Café de la Leche at Shine

A fun celebration to be held at new “concept store” Shine in Altos de Chavón, co-owners Yovanka Saldín and Consuelo Matos invite you get to know the new facility, whilst also contributing to a great charity – the Hogar del Niño. Shine offers Casa de Campo ladies a great place to shop for home decor items, accessories and more – as well as get pampered in their salon, which also boasts an LPG machine.

Sunset Jazz Night at the Azimut Café

With a welcome drink sponsored by Glenlivet whiskey and a selection of fine hand rolled cigars to accompany a magical night of jazz music under the stars, the Sunset Jazz Night at the Azimut Café is a fine way to relax and unwind following the excesses of New Years Eve and all the celebrations of the “season”. Cigar aficionados will be invited to choose from a selection of Vegafina, Romeo y Julieta and Montecristo Platinum – all rolled (by hand) right here in La Romana – at the Tabacalera de Garcia,  the world’s largest hand-rolled cigar factory, located just outside of Casa de Campo.

“Waters Connecting Lives” exhibit and fundraising event

An opening cocktail and fundraising event for new art exhibit “Agua Conectando la Vida” (Waters Connecting Lives) with designs by Emilio Robba, Mayra Gonzalez and Lisa Ballentine.  The “Waters Connecting Lives” project is being brought to Casa de Campo by FilterPure Inc., (called “AquaPure” locally), a non-profit foundation whose mission is to bring desperately needed pure drinking water to the people of developing nations, and currently working with communities in Haiti – by providing families with ceramic water filters.
