On Wednesday the 14th of December, the Hogar del Niño hosted their annual Christmas Party, which was held in their school/day care facility the in La Romana town.
Every year at Christmas time the more than 1,000 children cared for at the Hogar del Niño receive one main gift (a doll for girls and a car/truck for boys, for example) as well as a package of cookies, chocolates and sweeties.
The thousands and thousands of candies are donated every Christmas by the more than 100 Casa de Campo ladies who attend the Christmas Cafe de La Leche, held at the Casa de Campo villa of Xiomara Menendez – click here to view the photos of this year’s Christmas Café de la Leche.
