Last Saturday the 2nd of July, we celebrated the second anual Hoedown (Fiesta Americana) an American/Western themed party in the Casa de Campo FLAMBOYAN conference center, which was sponsored by Jack Daniel’s, the Casino Diamante Dominicus Bayahibe, Ron Brugal and Scotiabank.

In keeping with the Western theme the FLAMBOYAN had been decorated with flags, bales of hay, rustic furniture, old wooden signs (hand painted by me – Rebecca Hughes), ‘Wanted’ posters and within this ‘ol western barn, Casa de Campo’s cowboys and cowgirls enjoyed riding the mechanical bull, shopping, eating from the grill, dancing to the country music band, showing off their strength with the ‘martillo de fuerza’, taking part in the talent show and ……..drinking in the Jack Daniel’s Whiskey Saloon!!

The naughtiest bandits were banished to jail!

The Jack Daniel’s Saloon bar, sponsored of course by Jack Daniel’s was fashioned out of bales of hay and a wooden facade for the bar – it wasn’t the height of luxury but fitted in perfectly with the ‘western’ theme and with plenty of free Jack Daniel’s being served on the rocks or mixed as a cocktail – it was certainly the popular watering hole of the event!
