On April Fools Day, Friday April the 1st, Casa de Campo’s female society gathered at the Casa de Campo villa of Isabel Purcell for an afternoon of gossip, drinks and snacks…..and all in the name of gathering supplies for the Hogar del Niño!Whilst I spent the day giggling over my April fools Day joke about the ‘Real Housewives of Casa de Campo’, this month’s Cafe de La Leche hostess Isabell Purcell spent the day preparing her home for her special Cafe de la Leche guests and boy to we enjoy it!
Isabel’s Casa de Campo villa is located on the Links golf course and has a lovely view and an even nicer breeze – which was a real blessing on Friday, as it was uncharacteristically hot for April, arguably the hottest day of the year so far! Of course the heat gave us ladies the perfect excuse to indulge in a little chilled white wine and cocktails, whilst we caught up on all the latest goings-on and Casa de Campo news (gossip).
As always the Cafe de La Leche event was held to gather milk supplies for the more than 200 babies cared for at the Hogar del Niño every day – and all the ladies who came to enjoy this great event brought with them dried milk, cereals and other baby supplies.
