If you live in Casa de Campo you may overlook the all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet/feast served daily at the Lago Grill, but for a treat or even for Sunday brunch there is nothing that can rival it!
There are a few simple reasons why I love the breakfast at the Lago Grill and they are:
1. Location, location, location!
Casa de Campo is after all a tropical Caribbean paradise and having breakfast at the Lago Grill really takes advantage of that – the view out across the Teeth of the Dog golf course and beyond that to the ocean is stunning. And of course the building isn’t really a proper building – it feels more like an old, wooden, thatched shelter, which creates the illusion that you are dining alfresco, without sitting in the direct sunlight. It’s beautiful.
2. Food glorious food!
Wherever you are from and whatever your taste, there are so many options that you will certainly find exactly what you want to eat! There is an enormous selection of freshly baked breads, cakes and pastries with abundant platters of cheeses, meats and even smoked salmon – more than enough to create a truly deluxe ‘continental breakfast.’ For those of us who need something hot in the morning there is sausage, bacon, french toast, hash browns, scrambled eggs and an egg station with the friendly egg-chef who will expertly craft a perfectly fluffy omelette exactly to your taste. And then there are the pancakes – freshly made before your eyes, with whatever addition you desire – bananas, berries, chocolate. YUMMY!
3. Smiling Service!
The waiting staff, the hostesses and the chefs are all excellent – happy, smiley and most importantly efficient and useful. Their attentive service makes your indulgent breakfast a truly enjoyable experience!
