Last Wednesday the 7th of April the opening of the 25th Annual Sugar Golf tournament took place at the Casa de Campo yacht club.
This year the Sugar Golf tournament celebrated it’s 25th anniversary and so was a very special occasion indeed. The Sugar Golf tournament, headed by Alfie Fanjul, is held every year in aid of the Fundacion MIR, a non-profit organization which works to provide eduction and health services to the children and people of La Romana most in need. The cocktail party on Wednesday marked the official opening of the tournament, which ran lastweek from Wednesday the 7th to Saturday the 10th of April. The event which was sponsored by Azimut Yachts with rum provided by Ron Atlantico was a sophisticated soiree – packed full with over 300 of Casa de Campo’s VIP’s and well-known personalities, dressed to impress and having a wonderful time enjoying the complimentary champagne and rum cocktails!
Although every possible tipple was on offer, for many their drink of choice was Ron Atlantico – the Dominican Republic’s MOST delicious rum, so smooth and sweet, with just a hint of caramel flavor.
