Healthy Living by Jacqueline Banks – Quick and easy beauty tips

dreamstimefree_1868053-smWe all want to look our very best and that can make us vulnerable to trying just about everything to give us a healthy glow. You don’t have to go to extremes and try all the new treatments, keep a few great tips in your arsenal to look flawless.

Erase facial lines with a homemade mask. Mix one egg white with heavy cream until it spreads easily, apply to clean skin and let it dry for about half an hour and then wash off with warm water.

Puffy eyes are easily solved with tea. Steep chamomile tea in hot water for 20 minutes then refrigerate and place on the eyes. The tea bags contain inflammation-reducing tannic acid which combats puffiness. Watch out for dark circles under the eyes they’re almost always a signal of parasites or allergies. Try removing all common allergens from your diet (wheat, dairy and chocolate) to see if it helps, otherwise think of creating a personalized detox.

Brittle, splitting nails could be a signal that you’re eating too many carbs! A high carb, low protein diet can cause thinning skin and brittle nails. Add some good sources of protein to your diet, some to try are lean meats, fish, chicken, eggs and beans and of course make sure you’re getting plenty of veggies! Apple cider vinegar applied directly to the nail also helps strengthen nails.

Looking beautiful has never been easier! Let me know if you’re facing a particular problem and want some natural remedies, I just might have something up my sleeve.
