Ay, que calor! Oh my it is hot and according to ONAMET, the Dominican weather office – this suffocating heat is going to bring some more rain starting from today.

In a statement issued this morning ONAMET states that today we can expect scattered electrical storms and rain across the Dominican Republic – which from where I am in Altos de Chavón in Casa de Campo certainly seems to be true (I’ve already heard the first few claps of thunder).

Then Wednesday and Thursday we can expect the number of storms to increase as the ‘onda tropical’ passes across the southern area of the Dominican Republic bringing a higher frequency of rain, wind and storms.

The good news is that whenever it rains it gets cooler!
