Last Friday the 10th of June, more than a decade of education came to an end for the graduating class of 2011 of the Abraham Lincoln School in Central Romana la Romana and this great milestone in the lives of these youngsters was celebrated with a graduation ceremony at the Casa de Campo Flamboyan Conference Centre, private family parties and ‘ODYSSEY 2011’, the pupil’s graduation after-party in the Marina Casa de Campo. The graduation ceremony being quiet a jovial occasion was full with readings, poems and best of all singing, here you can watch a video of the graduating class accompanied by younger pupils of the Abraham Lincoln School singing ‘Time of our life.’

The following photos of the ceremony and the celebratory cocktail were contributed by Alexandra Varacalli one of the graduating pupils and one of my former students from when I used to be a teacher at the Abraham Lincoln School. After the ceremony the pupils disappeared off into the night to celebrate with their families and afterwards found their way to the Marina Casa de Campo were they partied the night away…….
