The Worldwide Sommelier Association: “Mejor Sommelier del Mundo”

From Wednesday the 13th of October through to Saturday the 16th of October the Worldwide Sommelier Association is celebrating the “Mejor Sommelier del Mundo” a wine festival, including the final of the Sommelier world championships, as well as a wine gala dinner and a wine party! Calling all wine lovers – this event is for you!

Unfortunately, none of these events are taking place in Casa de Campo, but will be taking place in Santo Domingo and in the Hotel Viva Wyndham Resort in Bayahibe.

Of particular interest to me is the Fiesta “Red & White….as the Wines” which is being held at the Hotel Viva Wyndham Resort in Bayahibe, less than 30 minutes drive from Casa de Campo. This party will be from 9pm on Saturday the 16th of October – a true celebration of good wine, with wine tastings and live music with ‘Saxo de Sandy Gabriel,’ ‘Percusiones de David Alemngod’ and ‘DJ Carlos Perez.’
Tickets are only RD$3,000 per person, including 1 night in the all inclusive Hotel Viva Wyndham Resort.
