dsc01015-cover Harry Magee hosted a cocktail, in the Club de la Costa to welcome Abraham Lincoln’s newest teachers. It was a pleasant evening, where everyone had the opportunity to mingle with friends and colleagues and enjoy some tasty Dominican-strength drinks and Dominican food; cheese, ham, garlic bread, fried pork, and platano wrapped in bacon. And the four new teachers are: dsc01018-natalie Natalie Simmons, from Oxford, England will be working as Language Support and      Special Needs Teacher for lower school. Before becoming a teacher Natalie worked as  a Policewoman for a year and a half. dsc01028-hol2 Holly Small, from Scotland will be teaching second grade.Before deciding to  move to the Dominican Republic, Holly was working in a school in Aberdeen.  She says she decided to move to move here because she has always wanted to  travel – and where better to come than the Caribbean! dsc01016-david David Price, from Wales, will be teaching Geography and Social Studies and when asked for a quote said “I’m a facilitator of young minds.” dsc01017-aaronAaron Stewart, also from Wales, will be teaching IT and 6th and 7th grade Math and when asked for a quote said “I’m not interesting at all, I’m not!” The Casa de Campo Living community welcomes the new teachers and we wish you all the best for the new academic year!

The Abraham Lincoln School, located within Central Romana, in the town of La Romana, is a private school for the children of employees of the Central Romana Corporation, but is also attended by other children who pay yearly tuition fees.
