Last Friday the 19th of November, Susana Joa, owner of Chinois restaurant in the Marina Casa de Campo invited Casa de Campo’s many residents and visitors to enjoy a ‘taste of the oriente’ with her newly created ‘Menu Japonesa.’
The ‘gustación’ or tasting attracted over 100 people, who enjoyed their meal under the stars on the Marina’s beautiful Plaza Portofino. On the menu was Japanese classics such as ‘Misu Soup’ and some delicious Sushi; a specially created Sushi roll called ‘The Susana Roll’ – a wonderful combination of crab and salmon topped with ‘platano maduro.’ Also on the menu was Tuna Tataki, a Seaweed Salad, Beef with ‘Ponsu’ sauce, Stir Fried Noodles with Vegetables and Shrimp Tempura. It was a great evening shared among friends, which was very much enjoyed by everyone who attended – we hope Chinois will repeat the evening again soon!
Here are my photos of everyone enjoying the evening!

Here is their menu of the food – notice the photos are particularly excellent (because they were taken by me!)
