Is 2011 the year of the British in Altos de Chavón Casa de Campo? Having already endured and enjoyed a British invasion from legendary band Duran Duran in the Altos de Chavón amphitheatre, we’ve just heard that English rock star STING may be coming to Altos de Chavón this year as well!

Rumors, rumors, rumors! What is a rumor? A rumor is just like gossip….it may be true and it may just as easily be completely FALSE! So what have we heard?
This is what we have heard (nothing less and nothing more):

RUMOR: “Sting will be performing in Altos de Chavón this September.”

Note: This is a rumor, not a statement of fact….or did I mention that already?!

So whether or not this is true, for those of you who are sitting there reading this and thinking ‘STING…..Who?’ and for the rest of you who are thinking ‘STING…woohooo!’ here you can read about Sting’s first performance in Altos de Chavón:

Sting in Altos de Chavón

Sting took to the Altos de Chavón stage on April the 26th 2006, as part of his ‘Broken Music’ tour and rocked out to an audience of nearly 6,000 fans from the Dominican Republic and world wide – making this concert one of the MOST successful concerts to EVER take place in Altos de Chavón’s 30 year history. Much to the delight of the crowd, Sting performed a mixture of hits from his years as leader of the group ‘Police’ as well solo songs. In an explosive set of more than 12 songs, STING stirred up his audience into a frenzy performing legendary songs; Roxanne”, “Every breath you take”, “Fields of gold”, “Walking on the moon”, “Spirits in a material world”, “Every little thing she does is magic”, “If I ever lose my faith in you”, “King of pain”, “All this time”, “Englishman in New York”, “Sincronicity” and many more – including songs with guest performers and latin legends Juan Luis Guerra and Felle Vega.

If that hasn’t got you saying: ‘STING….woooohoooo’ yet, then maybe this video of STING performing in Altos de Chavón will get you going….

Ok, so the video isn’t the best quality, but it really got me excited!! STING in Altos de Chavón…..woooooohhooooooo!!!

I’m soooo excited – please, please, please let this RUMOR come true!!!!
