Rumor Alert: JetBlue to bring direct flights to Casa de Campo from New York?

Just a few short weeks after daily flights started to land into the Casa de Campo airport from Miami, we hear the wonderful news that Jetblue will soon be bringing us direct flights from New York JFK!

This is simply wonderful news for everyone! As we all known, both Miami and New York are big ‘hub’ airports and so flying from Casa de Campo to anywhere else in the rest of world will now (soon) be MUCH easier! And for those of us living in Casa de Campo a cheeky shopping trip to New York will be just that little bit more tempting….

To be honest, at this stage there are no solid ‘facts.’ Everything we have been told is effectively ‘rumor’, however we have enough confidence in our source that we decided to share the news with you! So here is what we have heard:

• Flights will be with JetBlue Airways
• Flights will be direct between the La Romana – Casa de Campo Airport and the New York JFK Airport
• Flights will be twice a week (and possible even three times a week if we’re lucky!).
• Days of operation would be Wednesdays and Saturdays (probably departing from NY in the morning and departing from CDC in the afternoon.)
• The first direct flight touchdown from New York in Casa de Campo is expected as early as November this year!
