Oh happy day! We have just heard a ‘rumor’ that yet another concert is being planned at the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater – for next month, this time starring famous (and smoulderingly sexy) Mexican singer, Alejandro Fernandez.
According to ticketexpress.com, who are already selling tickets the concert is due to take place on Saturday the 25th of June, however this concert has NOT been officially announced by Casa de Campo and Altos de Chavón, which is an indication that although the concert is certainly very likely to go ahead it has not yet been 100% confirmed – and hence is considered by us to be a ‘rumor.’ As soon as we receive confirmation we will let you know!

One of the greatest idols of Hispanic music, famous for both ranchera and pop music, will be thrilling his Dominican fans with a concert in their home country to be held on Saturday 25 June.
The “Potrillo de México” (foal of Mexico – sorry that one does not translate well!) will bring his romantic songs to the Dominican Republic as part of his international tour “Dos mundos revolución tour 2011” (Two Worlds Revolution Tour 2011) under the local production of SD Concerts – the same producer responsible for his previous visit to the DR, held in 2008.
As in previous concerts, Alejandro Fernandez will not disappoint his fans, and is expected to put on a long two hour show, when his voice, dance and connection with the audience will create a fantastic show of unrivaled quality.
His most famous songs; “Me dediqué a perderte”, “Cuando digo tu nombre”, “Me hace tanto bien”, “Canta corazón”, “Qué voy a hacer sin tu amor”, “Se me va la voz”, “Qué lástima”, “No se me hace fácil” and “Si tú supieras” will make up the show!

Nicknamed as “El Potrillo” (The Colt) by the media and his fans,[1] he has sold over 20 million albums worldwide.[2] Alejandro is the son of the ranchera singer Vicente Fernández.[3] He originally specialized in traditional, earthy forms ofMexican folk music, such as mariachi and ranchera. However, his more recent work has focused on mainstream pop music.
