Its been a fantastic year for Casa de Campo; crowned ‘Leading Golf Resort in the world’ at the World Travel Awards, received no less than 13 other prestigious awards, been totally renovated and upgraded and just yesterday Dr. Leonel Fernandez, President of the Dominican Republic was here to officially open the new hotel!
The President flew in to Casa de Campo to take part in the official inauguration ceremony of the new Casa de Campo hotel, where Casa de Campo was honoured to have him pronounce the new hotel facilities officially open in a ‘ribbon-cutting’ ceremony. As you can see from the above photo the ceremony took place just outside the new La Caña restaurant and Lounge by Il Circo, and was also attended by Alfy Fanjul, José-Pepe-Fanjul, Eduardo Martínez-Lima, Ramón A. Menéndez, Francisco Javier García,Carlos Morales Troncoso and Dr. Claudio Silvestri.
Following the ceremony the gentlemen enjoyed a private lunch in the new La Caña restaurant and Lounge by Il Circo, who’s inside was then sealed off to the public for the special occasion.
In reality the new hotel has now been open and fully functional for Casa de Campo hotel guests and Casa de Campo villa owners to enjoy for over a week – and the transformation is breathtaking! The Casa de Campo hotel now boasts world-class new facilities, with a new pool area, fitness centre, La Caña restaurant and lounge by Il Circo, lobby, conference centre and 80 new Elite rooms and Suites. The project was completed in less than 5 months and cost $30 million dollars.
